memorial to didgeridoo
Probably the most prominent memorial to didgeridoo in the history of human beings was found out in spring 2005 in the centre of Yekaterinburg (Ural, Russia). Now its height is 220 metres. The history of this memorial is unknown. It might have been erected by resettlers from Australia as a remembrance about their faraway homeland. Although the memorial is not seen from Australia, nevertheless, they have decided and done this. Let it be so.
It was also noticed that while wind was blowing, the memorial started droning. But there are some reasons to think that main spectrum of sounding of this huge didgeridoo may not be perceived by human ear. So the question arises: how this infra-sound influences people living in Yekaterinburg. Possibly influence is positive. At least all followers of Great Didgeridoo think so. What is more, there is a supposition that it was the sound of the memorial that spurred us on to found Urals Didgeridoo Laboratory. |
